30 Blogs in 30 Days - Day Five

My Definition of Love

Nothing more to say <3

Apologies for the Absence!

I know it may seem as though I have failed the 30 day challenge miserably but I have a pretty good reason!

From when I was born I have had a hole in my heart and a heart murmur along with an irregular heartbeat (I'm not one to do things by half!). Nothing surgical or with medications could be done for me so I have lived a happy life, that has never been held back, at peace with my murmur, going for regular check ups at the Cardiac Specialist Hospital in Leicester.

However on Friday I was feeling very breathless all morning, and was having intermittent chest pains which felt very different from the usual pains I sometimes feel. By lunchtime when I had pins and needles up my arm and severe chest pains and I just knew that I should go get checked out. At the walk in centre I had an emergency ECG and was told that there was a possibility I could be having a heart attack! Follow the panic! I was sent to the nearest A & E in an ambulance, which was pretty scary! I was given Gas and Air for my pain and can now see why they call it laughing gas! My husband works near the hospital and met us there! After having blood taken, x rays and observations I was told that it was not a heart attack, blood clot or anything major but they still had concerns, I needed to go home and be on serious bed rest.

Whilst I am so grateful to God that it wasn't anything serious enough to keep me in hospital I am really struggling to not get frustrated with the bed rest part! I am trying to trust in Him, He is in control and knows what is best for me.

So for now all I can do is suck it up, stay under my duvet, enjoy the constant episodes of Grey's Anatomy and catch up blogging!

30 Blogs in 30 Days - Day Four

This is what I have eaten today!

You are all going to think I'm such a greedy guts! I have been so hungry today!

Today I have had...

Belvita Biscuits for Breakfast

Pasta n Sauce - Cheese, Leek and Ham flavour, very yummy but it was very stinky in the staff kitchen!

A mid afternoon cup-a-soup!

It all went downhill when I got home........

I made myself a mini sandwich when I was making my Husbands lunch for work the next day! Oops!

Then a very yummy pasta bake for tea.

Two cranberry muffins and far too many cookies whilst watching TV in the evening!

This is what happens when you get used to eating too much over Christmas! :-(

30 Blogs in 30 Days - Day Three

Childhood Dreams

My childhood world was the magical world of Disney!

My brother and I had all of the videos (!) and knew the songs back to front and upside down.

Just today, when I was at my Sister in Laws watching The Little Mermaid in 3D (Oh how times have changed!) even the kiddies were laughing at how well I knew the songs!

Even now as an adult I love escaping into the dreamland of Disney, Thank You Mr Disney for giving me so many years of fun, laughter and adventure!!

30 Blogs in 30 Days - Day 2

**Apologies for this post being a day late - we had a slight family emergency, all sorted now :-)**

My Parents <3

For many complicated reasons my Dad was the one who raised my brother and I by himself from when we were very young, and although I may be biased, my word, he did a fantastic job! I can never remember once in my childhood having a problem or issue that my Dad couldn't solve, he was always so selfless and did the best he could for us in every situation. Even when the going was as tough as it could be he never stopped fighting for us, striving for the very best for his children.

When I was 12, my Dad met my StepMum, and what a blessing she is! Once she had fell in love with my Dad she opened up her heart and her life to the rest of his family, and I then became the eldest of 4 siblings - I had gained a Step Brother and a Step Sister! 11 years later and we are all a massive happy family and I know my Dad and Mum were very proud parents on my wedding day, my Dad was BEAMING as he walked me down the aisle and I'm so thankful for all the advice and help they both gave me running up to the big day. I love you <3 xxxx

30 Blogs in 30 Days - Day One

Introducing Me!

I always find talking about myself very strange! I will try to keep this short and sweet.

I am 22, and what some people would consider a young wife, I met my husband when I was 17, He was my childhood sweetheart and we had our fantastic wedding day in October 2011, exactly a year after the proposal! I love my husband more than I thought humanly possible.

I have a cat called Trixie, who is the most pampered spoilt little feline you will ever meet!

I am a newly baptised Christian, who only just found her Faith in January 2011 (Lots more on this to come)!

My favourite colour in the whole wide world is purple.

I would like to consider myself happy and outgoing, I love doing things for the people I love and making them smile.

I have a love for Amercian TV, mainly F.R.I.E.N.D.S and Grey's Anatomy, and have a huge love affair with The Twilight Saga!! Also oddly, I love 'Die Hard' just as much!

I work full time but am also thinking about starting a family in the near future (also lots more on this to follow!)

This is me in a nut shell and I am looking forward to sharing more with you all soon!

Happy New Year xxxx

My first post - a blog a day for 30 days!

Hello

I am an avid reader of blogs, I even encouraged one of my very special friends to blog about her amazing creative talents (more about those later) and when she in return told me I should blog too, I pondered very long and hard - I enjoy reading blogs so much I didn't want to create one which would make for boring reading and one which didn't have meaningful content, I suppose I felt I didn't have much to talk about.

Who was I kidding? So much has happened to me in the last 12 months in such an everlasting way I should be shouting it from the rooftops! In January 2011 I met the AMAZING man called Jesus, pulled my Wedding forward so my future husband and I could be baptised in His name, and finally the single best day of my life yet - my Wedding Day to my gorgeous husband. I wont go into details now, I plan on talking about all of this and more in future blogs.

As I am new at this, I have decided to take an idea i read about on www.thebabywife.com. So from today, i will be be taking part in the "30 Posts in 30 Days" challenge. Hopefully it will help me get into the groove of blogging as well as giving me inspiration with what to blog about in the future. Here's a break down of how (some) January posts will go...
